A Widow Redefined

By Kim Cano

“A Widow Redefined” by Kim Cano is shrouded in a mystery that begins at the grave of Amy’s late husband, Justin. A widow of just three years, Amy White is trapped by heartache, filled with insecurity and stuck in the loop of grief. Fear and uncertainty about her marriage intensify when Amy discovers that there may have been another woman in her perfect husband’s life. While grief runs deep for the loss of the only love of her life, Amy discovers that a mysterious woman is laying flowers on her husband’s grave. Amy becomes obsessed with finding out who the woman is and what that woman meant to her deceased husband. She stalks her prey in secret, and then she is led into an unusual relationship with a very unlikely enemy.

This is a sweet love story sprinkled with the joys and trials of motherhood. My favorite character is Amy’s young son, Tyler. He is a comfort to his mother, the voice of new age wisdom beyond his years. Tyler’s bright personality and interest in art lightens the mood of an otherwise sad story. “A Widow Redefined” is the second book I’ve read by Kim Cano. Her work is exceptionally well written and filled with memorable characters.
